we're making plans! we'll be heading to stockholm first, followed by oslo & then finally reykjavik. I've found a few museums I'd like to get to, and we'll definitely be visiting natural hot springs & saunas anywhere we go.. like the crazy blue lagoon in iceland!

meanwhile I'm trying to get my 'gear' in order.. warm socks, warm coat, water-resistant everything, good boots..

any suggestions of where to go/what to do would be appreciated!

I won't lie- it wasn't the most commercially successful event. But I saw a few friends, and made a new one or two, so I think it was definitely a worthwhile & good day

I recently found a shop that will knit a pair of socks with your yarn (send it in) for $15/pair

I chose caramel alpaca, dark green merino, and pale blue-gray wool/bamboo for mine. I'm so excited to receive these! its difficult to find good socks

I'm thinking more about food & cooking recently. Seattle mornings are turning dark & gray soon enough, and caffeine does not motivate us.. so I'm trying to make breakfasts nice

I love a good share. tonight I had the opportunity to pass along some jam to our neighbors- received some delicious cucumbers in return. after that, I was given some great lettuce & a couple of tomatoes- more jam in exchange
