our first stop in iceland was the blue lagoon. the color of the water is really stunning. the best part, I think, may have been the silica gel available by the scoopful at a few stations in the water.. its made of clay deposits in the water & is awesome for your skin. its also really fun to play with beforehand

ReplyDeleteits not deep- it gets about as deep as 4.5 to 5 ft I'd guess, and (understandably but unfortunately) has a paved bottom. its a bit disneyland (curved wooden bridges, in-water bar, etc) but still, lovely to visit
