I like this set.. its sort of woodsy, and reminds me of our road trip..

the polished organic-shape beads are petrified wood that I found at a shop on san juan island.. the wood is 'grey wood' (of course it is)

along our road trip in september, we traveled through a good amount of oregon which is a prime area for pacific northwest crafts, most visibly woodworking. we were able to see lots of beautiful things then, and the experience renewed an affinity I've occasionally held for well-constructed, preferably shiny wood objects

even just to view, I think these items (bowl, candle holder, bangles, salad bowl) are lovely, and I appreciate their utilitarian value as well.. I think it would be awesome to take a wood-working class & get a bit decent at working with some favorite types.. honey shades of maple, lovely variated myrtlewood, deep teaks, and my top favorite, gorgeous black walnut

round this time of year, a good bunch of socks & a few pairs of tights become important.. this year I'm trying to be extra picky- no thick knits that make ankles look plump; no tights that will not stay put and require constant/awkward tugging & adjusting

I've found these few that I'm guessing or know for certain work very well..


any other suggestions?
