in vancouver..

this was a quick trip, but included a number of fun things. mostly eating. we started the trip with some quick, fresh & inexpensive sushi at sushi mart, joking that it was our first dinner. we walked around, stopping to shop a bit, & then stayed in to watch a movie & order a piece of pie.

the next morning we started with brunch at cafe medina which we both thought was excellent. very nice staff, great decor, and a lighter cooking style that made eating brunch items easy & satisfying. their original ceiling lamp really struck me..

from there we went to granville island, which I really like.. we stopped at paper ya which is a favorite place of mine, and into a great little postcard shop.

from there we tried the famous japadog, which includes toppings such as seaweed & wasabi mayo. it was really good. its interesting just how popular it is- it took us about 30 minutes to get ours.

next was the aquarium, then a delicious dinner at the cozy & friendly bistro burgoo followed by a show at biltmore cabaret. our last stop this morning was a quick brunch at joe's on davie. again, a nice staff & good food.

this week we'll have to get back to normal, eating & working accordingly. I'll be adding new items this week, so please check back!
